Don't
homeschool alone. Get involved in a homeschool support
group where you can get help throughout the year and find
social activities for your children. Homeschool support
groups come in all flavors: Christian, Catholic, Secular,
Special Needs, etc. Find the one that meets your particular
needs and get involved.

The CHEER Support Group is a group of 100+ homeschool
families in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area
who support and encourage each other and provide tools
to help each family achieve excellence in their homeschool.

- Tulsa (Christian Home Educators Fellowship).
CHEF of Oklahoma is open to any homeschool family

Tutorial Center located at 3160A S.

- Edmond
Home Educators' Support Group: We offer
field trips, mom's fellowship, educational events,
social get togethers, website information, and yahoo
group discussion. Membership is $10/per family for

- Great Plains
Home Educators, Hydro and
surrounding areas. Support, activities, and co-op.
- Green
Country HERO (Green Country Home Educators
Resource Organization) was established to provide support
for homeschoolers in the greater Tulsa area. The group
is open to all homeschoolers and is Christian based.
We provide a wide variety of social and educational
opportunities, all organized by group members. Benefits
include the following: a monthly newsletter, a member
directory, use of our lending library, an HSLDA discount,
bi-monthly business meetings, and monthly moms' night
out. We are affiliated with OCHEC, THE, and HERO of

Home Educators, Owasso. Open
to all. Classes and field trips for kids. Support

- HERO:
HERO of Oklahoma's primary purpose is to provide information
concerning the many local and state educational resources
available to Oklahoma home educators. As a network
of homeschooling families and support groups,
HERO of Oklahoma also helps families connect with each
other through their web site, gatherings, and e-mail
discussion groups. Information on this website includes
recommended lawyers for homeschoolers, booklist, shopping
info, and much more.
- Liz's
Liszt: A Christian information group
for West of Tulsa Area homeschoolers includes field
trip ideas, activities, and other information such
as new finds, book and movie information, cool
websites and more.
- The
McAlester support group meets once
a month and takes field trips. Our next meeting will
be Thursday November 3, 2005, at the First Baptist
Church Activities Room. It will be from 7-9. A Christmas
party is planned for Friday December 9 at Central
Christian Church from 6:30-9:00. For information you

(Oklahoma Christian Home Educators Consociation)
is a statewide homeschool support organization directed
by Christian leaders to serve and help anyone who
strongly desires to teach his or her children at

- OKHSMoms
Info Group: A yahoo group by Ellen Latimer
that provides encouragment and LOTS of free information
for Oklahoma homeschool moms on what's happening
in Oklahoma that is of interest to homeschoolers.
I highly recommend signing up for this group. (Also
a good friend of mine!)
- Oklahoma
Home School Connection. OK.H.S.C is an
organization of families from Midwest City/Del City Oklahoma
who come together for the common purpose of encouraging
one another in their endeavors to faithfully train and
educate their children at home. While the leadership
of OK.H.S.C. is Christ led, and each individual family
allows God to determine the path of their homeschooling,
as a service organization, we will strive to support
and encourage anyone who seriously desires to educate

Area Home School Association. OAHSA is
dedicated to serving home educators and their families.
Our goal is to glorify Jesus Christ and to encourage
parents in the training of their children to follow

Christian leadership but membership is open to all.

Skiatook Christian Homeschool Association (OSCHA)
We are a new non-profit support group in the Skiatook
area with members from Sperry, Hominy, and Avant. Members
must sign our statement of faith and agree to abide
by our by-laws. We offer structured PE, field trips,
holiday activities, and promotion night. Contact:

- Pottawatomie
County Home Educators Association (PCHEA). Serving
Pott. County and the surrounding areas. PCHEA is
Christian in orientation and leadership, but not
exclusive in membership. We offer support and encouragement
to homeschooling families in Shawnee and surrounding
counties through various monthly activities, contests
and field trips for our children, and a monthly newsletter

Members should provide at least one volunteer service
for the group. Proverbs 22:6 Home Educators support group
exists to provide a support network for families who
honor the seventh day Sabbath and have chosen to educate
their children at home. Membership benefits include:
Student public speaking; PE co-op; play-dates; educational
field trips; e-mail loop; fun academic competitions;
friendship and fellowship. Moms and Dads are encouraged
to attend the monthly meetings together. Child care is
available if needed.
- Sallisaw
Home Educators.
Sallisaw Home Educators is a Support Group for Homeschool
families in and around the Sallisaw, Oklahoma area.
Our group is open to all home edcucators regardless
of race, religion, learning and/or teaching styles.
